Whitecourt Hosts World Juniors Championship Trophy Tour
We are less than two weeks away from the World Junior Trophy arriving to our community! Check out all the exciting events planned !
The tour will start by the Trophy visiting the schools Friday Dec 3rd, will make a guest appearance at some local businesses during business light up (Shop local at participating businesses and get entered for a draw for 2 WJC Tickets!) Followed by ice appearance at the WJC Female Hockey Game at Scott Safety Centre for a final stop at the Wolverines Game, get your tickets to the Wolverines game Purchase Tickets and get entered into the draw for a chance to win 2 World Junior Championship Tickets - Lower Bowl in Edmonton-Red Deer. (lots of opportunities to get your picture taken with the cup at the Wolverines Game!)

On Saturday Whitecourt Minor Hockey is hosting a FREE community BBQ and Street Hockey Tournament at Rotary Park from 11-3! Live Auction for World Junior Championship Tickets and Game Used Pucks!

Saturday Night Dec 4th the Trophy will be in the Santa Claus Parade and town Tree Light Up part of the WMH Float & Jersey Parade.
Sunday We are hosting the World Junior Championships Mini Tournament:
Canada (elected officials & old timers) VS. USA (First Responders Teams) @ 4:00PM
Sweden ( Teachers Team) VS. Russia (WMH Coaches) @ 4:30PM
Losers from Round 1 will play for Silver @ 5:00PM
Winners from Round 1 will play for Gold @ 5:20PM
During all events support the Food Bank and Whitecourt Christmas by bringing donations! We will have enclosed trailers on site so let's fill them up!
The whole weekend we will have raffles for World Junior Championship Tickets, 50/50 draws and so much more!
