Evaluations and Tryouts!

Sep. 22, 2020

Good afternoon Folks!

I hope you are as excited as us to kick off the hockey season! While it might not look like what we are used to but nevertheless it will be a great one for everyone. We are sharing a quick update to highlight that groups for evaluations and tryouts for all divisions are now posted on the website. Many directors have already reached out to parents in your divisions. At anytime if you have any questions or concerns please reach out to your division's director and they will gladly assist. U15 and U18 Tryouts are pending till we have all TRAC Evaluation done so please continue to monitor the website for any potential changes.

Few items to keep in mind, due to COVID-19 there are regulations in place to ensure everyone's safety. Take note of the items below

As per the TOWN OF WHITECOURT RENTAL AGREEMENT with WMHA The maximum number of Spectators is 100/Arena. We strongly encourage parents to please minimize the amount of spectators. We don't want to limit the amount per child at this time to allow parents and siblings to attend; however that might change if we aren't able to keep spectators under 100/per arena. Showers will not available. Dressing rooms are limited to Goalies at this time. Please have your child come dressed (We will have people assisting with skates to the kids that need assistance) and arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your time to allow staff to complete cleaning and sanitizing. It's understandable the inconvenience of this request and we are hopeful that will change as we kick off the season and cold weather sets in.

Wherever possible, promote physical distancing by 2 meters (6ft), Distancing exceptions can be made for those who are from the same household; Hand Sanitizer will be placed at all entry points of the Scott Safety Centre;

Please follow marked one-way traffic patterns when entering and exiting the facility; promoting one-way traffic flow to avoid inadvertent interaction; as per the Government of Alberta’s guidance document- Participants, coaches, spectators, instructors, officials or volunteers who become symptomatic

Participants are to complete the COVID-19 self-screening tool prior to entrance into the facility. Any participant that is exhibiting any symptoms cannot enter the facility or participate;
