COVID-19 Update: Division Tiers

The following is a statement on behalf of Whitecourt Minor Hockey Association regarding tiering in U9 and U11

It’s without a doubt unprecedented times dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. As we work to navigate what the future of the season will look like, and in compliance with Hockey Alberta/Canada COVID-19 policy and taking into consideration the recommendations by the Alberta Chief Medical officer, we made the decision to eliminate Tiers in both Division U9 and U11. This decision was not made lightly, we will continue to monitor the situation, should Hockey Alberta/Canada change their policy and the Province of Alberta update their guidelines, the association will follow suit by reintroducing the Tiering program.
